image Laura Reiman and her husband, Dan Reiman, joined Topeka First United Methodist Church in 2009. Since then, Laura has been involved in one aspect or another in the Children's Ministry and Youth Ministry. Laura currently directs the Children's Ministry. Children at Topeka First UMC enjoy Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and special events. Sunday School for K-5th grade is offered both at 9:30am & 10:45am. Kid's Night is offered on Wednesday evenings on a semester basis. Kids eat together from 6-6:30 and enjoy programming & activities from 6:30-7:30pm. Children also sing in worship every 6-8 weeks! A community Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the State Capital on Saturday, April 1. 

Laura, along with her daughter, Cherokee has gone on two Youth mission trips. Laura participates in choir and Y2K. She is a graduate of Topeka High School and Washburn University, where she returned to complete a program to be able to teach middle school History and Civics. Laura loves seeing children become excited from learning new things. Laura's passions include helping children learn the stories. within the Bible and the lasting effects it creates in our relationships and communities. Laura is a frugal, hands-on, DIY teacher that attempts to use all five senses to meet the learning needs of all students. Laura also has a dedication for including marginalized groups, individuals, and people with developmental delays.

Laura's hope is to develop lasting relationships between the grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, and some really creative, fun kids, of the church!
