Tonight is our special called Church Conference. The meeting will be at 6:00 pm in the Sanctuary. If you can't join us in-person, you can join through the live stream link through our website. We are NOT streaming this Church Conference through Facebook. Click on the link above to watch the livestream.
- All members are eligible to vote (remember, youth who have completed confirmation are full members and are eligible to vote). There are three ways each member can vote:

In-person via paper ballot
- Vote via our church text number: 785-333-4420 (this is our normal church text number). Don't call this number. Only text this number.
- Vote via email: shawna@fumctopeka.org

All votes must be received between 6:00 pm & 6:45 pm today. Do not vote early. Votes after 6:45 pm will not be accepted.
- If you are voting via text or email, clearly include both your first and last name when you vote. If you and a spouse share an email or cell phone number, clearly indicate both first & last names and the vote for each person.
There have been two edits to the Guidelines and Principles document that was previously sent:

To clarify, the number of people on the Leadership Council is 9 people on a 3-year rotation, the Lay Leader, and Lay Member to Annual Conference for a total of 11. The pastor is the 12th person without vote.

Under #5 in the Leadership Covenant : Unanimous consent of the Leadership council members present will be required to consider any item not included in the circulated packet.
This is to allow appropriate consideration and discernment of issues facing the Leadership Council, while still allowing emergency actions if necessary.
