The United Women in Faith’s program for May 3rd will focus on our church's labyrinth

Do you know our church has a labyrinth?  Have you walked our church labyrinth?   All are invited to come to hear about and walk our TFUMC labyrinth, located in our Play and Pray Park, on wednesday, May 3rd at 1:00 p.m.  Jaena Greenwood will share the background about the project, and lead those attending to walk the labyrinth.  The Play and Pray Park is located on the west side of the building. The flat stones which form the labyrinth are located north of the play equipment.  The event will begin in the park and later move to Fellowship Hall down the steps or elevator to the lower level.  Several lawn chairs will be provided for those unable to stand for long.   After the group moves to Fellowship Hall Jaena will share additional information about the history of labyrinths, show some pictures of famous labyrinths around the world, and will answer any questions.

In addition to sharing information about the labyrinth, Jaena will share some information about the WAFFLE Program, one of our outreach programs at State Street Elementary.  Each Friday morning during the school year, volunteers from TFUMC share their time and talent with the students at Topeka’s State Street Elementary School while teachers attend staff meeting.  Jaena has coordinated the TFUMC WAFFLE Program for a number of years and has been asked to share the story of the program, provide details of the impact of this important ministry and answer questions.
