Who: All are welcome! We are especially hoping that those who live, work, worship, and/or are a part of downtown in any other way will come!
What: This is a fun, casual event with food and activities where everyone who is connected with the downtown community can get to know each other better! It is a National Night Out event, which means that it is part of a country-wide movement to promote law enforcement-community relationships and neighborhood camaraderie so that our neighborhoods are safer, more caring places to live.
5:00-5:30: Bilingual Story and Song Time (Spanish and English)
5:30-6:30: Free Dinner Served (until 6:30 or until food runs out).
6:30-7:00: Cake Walk
Splash pad
Popsicles
Bubbles
Art
Games
Giveaways of prizes donated from community businesses and organizations.
At the event, there will be several scheduled activities that start and end at specific times. These activities are optional.
There will also be many fun activities going on for the entirety of the event that anyone can engage in as they please.
When: Saturday, August 19th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. If it looks like the weather is not going to be good, we will postpone the event by the morning of August 18th. You can check here or on the Topeka First United Methodist Church Facebook page for updates.

Why: We hope that this event will build and strengthen connections amongst those who live, work, worship, and/or are a part of the downtown community in any other way so that we can all know and love our neighbors better.
