Topeka First UMC News, Info., & Events
Greetings Topeka First UMC, I hope that you are having a great week! This week finally feels like Fall outside. Of course, that means that Halloween is coming soon. On October 25, we will celebrate our first ever Fall-O-Ween. Think of this as a Fall Festival for our church. This event is designed for all of us in the church and for friends, family, and neighbors. Please be in prayer and help us make this a memorable event by bringing candy, providing food (hot dogs, buns, crackers, chips), or by providing a trunk to hand out candy. This Sunday, we are continuing through our sermon series “Look What God Can Do.” We will explore what God can do through US! In the Scriptures we encounter the power of community and God’s work through the power of working together. These biblical examples provide the basis for us to dream and realize who God is calling “US” (TFUMC) to be. Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God can do more through us than we can even imagine. This is true for us as individuals, and all the more for us as a community. So join us for worship this weekend as we dream together about what God can do through US! As part of the "Look At What God Can Do" Sermon series, we have been talking about generosity and thinking about what God might be doing through each of us. I would encourage you to continue thinking about how God might be calling you to give in 2027. As we prepare for the Church Conference on Sunday, November 8th at 3 pm, we are working on the budget. Your estimate of giving card is a critical part of the budget process. Please be sure to bring them on Sunday! I hope you will join us at 8:15, 9:30, or 10:45! The 9:30 am & 10:45 am services are also live-streamed. See you Sunday, |
