Greetings Topeka First UMC,

I hope that you are having a great week!

On Sunday, Rev. Dr. Mike Chamberlain will be installed as a Pastor Emeritus here at Topeka First joining Rev. Merris Brady in the same honorary position.  We will honor Mike and Judy's ministry at all three services Sunday. Please plan on joining us for this celebration (in person or online) at all three services. After each service, we will have a reception in honor of Mike and Judy. I would invite you to bring cards or notes to congratulate them on their next step in ministry.

Also on Sunday, we are concluding our sermon series, "Three Simple Rules." Over the past two weeks we have looked at "Doing no harm" and "Do Good." This Sunday we will examine the third rule, "Staying in Love with God." To love anyone or anything is much more difficult than it might appear. Easy to say, hard to do. The same can be said for loving God. What might it look like to love God? We will think about this together on Sunday!

Next week is filled with all sorts of opportunities to connect & fellowship together. I hope you are connected in with various church activities!  To be in fellowship together strengthens each of our faith lives.
