Exciting News!

Dear Topeka First UMC Family, 

I just wanted to share with you all the exciting news that Cameron and I are expecting our first baby! Our due date is February 25th, 2025. We actually learned that I was pregnant the week before we moved from Topeka to Geneva, NE, so my very last Sunday at Topeka First, I knew the news. It was so hard for me not to share it with you all and to celebrate with you then, but we wanted to wait until I was through my first trimester before making the news public. When you were all praying over me and blessing me on that last Sunday though, I kept thinking, “This is so cool. They are praying over and blessing the baby too, and they don’t even know it.” Because of this, my baby will have a piece of you all with them, and I’m so grateful for that because you all mean so much to me. 

I pray that all is going well for you! From what I’ve seen on Facebook, you are continuing to do vital ministry and to make a difference in the community and the world as a result. The transition to being the head pastor at Geneva UMC has been good so far! I think this new congregation is a good fit for me, and I see a lot of potential for new and exciting ministries! People have been kind and welcoming, and the fact that there is a daycare that is a part of the church will be a huge blessing once our little one comes along. I have been continually grateful for all the ways you helped prepare me for leading as a head pastor.
