Topeka First United Methodist Church
Friday ENote from TFUMC

News from Pastor Brad & Current Events

Greetings Topeka First UMC,

I hope that you are having a great week! Our church hosted MAP this week. Thank you again to all who volunteered to help our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness!

Coming up this Sunday in worship, we will begin a new sermon series called "Three Simple Rules." John Wesley talked about 3 simple rules for living: 1) Do No Harm 2) Do Good 3) Stay in Love With God. Each week for the remainder of September, we will look at one of these rules, search the scriptures together, and look at how each rule plays out in our faith journey. This Sunday we begin with the first rule: Do No Harm. Why would this be the first rule? What do we mean by harm? I hope you will join us Sunday to find out. We also are excited to welcome back the choir as part of the 10:45 am service! Join us Sunday at 8:15, 9:30, or 10:45 (or online at 9:30 & 10:45 through our website). We've begun to email the 10:45 bulletin to those who regularly watch online.  If you'll be out of town or need to watch online, please let Shawna know and she'll send you the bulletin.

Sunday is our KICK OFF for the fall semester!  Please join a group soon!
