Topeka First UMC News, Info., & Events, April 25, 2025Greetings Topeka First UMC, I hope that you are having a great week and enjoying the wonderful spring weather! Easter Sunday was incredible! I am so thankful for all the work of so many people that made Easter so special. To celebrate resurrection together is a true blessing! Coming up this weekend, we have a couple of special guests! Our former Associate Pastor, Rev. Karissa Miller is coming and bringing her new baby! She is excited to see everyone and introduce Nathan. Pastor Sandra will be preaching, and I will be giving an update on our Be the Bridge capital campaign! It will be another great Sunday to worship together! Rosalie Bure and Richard Ross were the winners of the Topeka FUMC trivia contest. Each won a gift card to A & G’s Custard. Thanks to all who took time to join in the fun!
Remember, Saturday is Sharefest! Be sure to sign up with them if you'll be helping. Also, this is the last Sunday of our April Mission Focus for Topeka North Outreach. To help with their Operation Backpack, write TNO Operation Backpack in the memo of your check. This Sunday, our Young Adult group will be going bowling at Gage Bowl from 12:30 - 2 pm. If you're a Young Adult and haven't connected with this group, be sure to see Pastor Grace. The Caregiver Support Group meets Monday at 6 pm. The group is focused on being a support group for parent whose child has autism. Contact Laura Reiman if you have questions. Next Sunday, May 4th is Graduation Sunday!
