Greetings Topeka First UMC,

I hope you're having a great week!

Pastor Grace is preaching this Sunday as we celebrate her ministry. She will be writing the Friday email to all of you. In the meantime, I wanted to send a few updates to you:

• Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated Pastor Sandra's ministry last week. If you would still like to give towards the Miracle Sunday  campaign in honor of her ministry, you can do so through our website. Afterwards, click on the "Give Online Now" button then click the drop down arrow and select "Miracle Sunday (for theological education) fund. You can also simply write a check and include "Miracle Sunday" in the memo.
• I also want to remind you that we have an Endowment Ministry Team meeting on Tuesday, June 30 at 5:30 pm, and a Leadership Council meeting on Tuesday, July 7 at 6:00 pm. Both meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend.
• The office will be closed next week on Thursday July 2^nd in honor of the 4^th of July weekend. 

Finally, our new Director of Media and Worship Technology is Kyle Newman. Kyle is doing a great job! He is looking for a few volunteers to help with worship. Please find his note below!

Hi Church Family, 

There are some Sunday morning volunteer spots open that I'd like to know if you could help me fill.

During each service, volunteers sit in the AV booth at the back of the Chapel or up in the AV booth in the Sanctuary balcony and help run slides during the service. The "slides" volunteer simply clicks a button to advance the slides. Volunteers always work next to other volunteers and also me. No experience is necessary but you must be in the AV booth 15 minutes before service begins. Let me know if you'd like to help!

• 8:15 am, 1st Sunday
• 8:15 am, 5th Sunday
• 9:30 am, 3rd Sunday
• 9:30 am, 5th Sunday
• 10:45 am, 3rd Sunday

The slots are open to folks who would like an easy, once a month volunteer spot. Teenagers and adults are encouraged to volunteer.
