Holy week is almost here! As we prepare for the celebration of Easter, there are a number of ways for you to experience the fullness of the week:
- Saturday is the "Peeps" kids' event, and Women's Bible study from 9:00 am to 11:00 am!
- Palm Sunday is this Sunday when we wave the palms, and remember Jesus as our King. As this is the last Sunday of Lent, we will celebrate Holy Communion at all three services.
- Thursday at 6:00 pm will be the Maundy Thursday service where we will remember Jesus and the disciples at what was the "Last Supper."
- Friday at 7:30 pm will be Good Friday. We will remember Jesus' final hours as he is arrested, convicted, beaten and crucified through a service of "Tenebrae."
- Easter Sunday will be the celebration of resurrection in all three services! “The Brass” special music will begin at 10:30 am and will also be playing with our choir at the 10:45 am service.
I hope that you will make plans to join us at all of these services. Easter takes on new meaning when we experience the fullness of that last week with Jesus!
Two other notes for Sunday: 1) Pastor Grace returns this week from maternity leave! 2) This is the final week to bring groceries for Door Step. Lets finish strong and help them fill their pantry!
I also want to invite you to mark on your calendar April 18, 19 for the youth dinner theater. The theme this year is "God, Ghosts, and the News." Saturday will be at 5:00 pm and Sunday will be at 12:00, right after 10:45 am service. This is the big fundraiser for our mission trip this summer to Nashville, TN.
