We believe that part of being a Disciple of Jesus Christ is living as a servant. There is a multitude of opportunities to serve both within the walls of the church and throughout the community. Regularly check into seeing what types of seasonal opportunities are available!
Ushers are on the front line during Sunday Mornings. They offer members and guests alike a warm smile and welcoming invitation as they walk through the doors of our worship spaces. Ushering is a great way to get to know people while serving during the worship celebration you regularly attend. If you want to learn more or would like to register to usher contact Austin Harris, our Director of Worship and Communications.
Worship does not happen by accident or through the use of magic. It takes an amazing and talented group of volunteers to make worship happen every single week. Within the Worship Arts, there are a lot of ways to serve. From running the slides on our video walls to operating cameras for the live stream, people of all technical abilities can get involved and help make Sunday's special. If you are interested in joining the team contact Austin Harris, our Director of Worship and Communications.
We host a vibrant music program at Topeka First UMC. The programs include our Sanctuary Choir, the Bell Choirs, our Praise Band, and opportunities for children and youth to ring and sing. Every Sunday talented volunteers lead us in song as we praise and celebrate God. If you would like to learn more about our music ministries email Austin Harris, our Director of Worship and Communications.

We are proud of our partnership with State Street Elementary, where dozens of volunteers gather every Friday morning to spend time with students as part of our Waffle program. If you would like to know more about Waffle and our partnership with State Stree contact Allison Brewer, our Director of Children's Discipleship.
