Worship Schedule Listening Groups

For nearly a year now a team of people have been meeting to explore the best way for us to structure our Sunday mornings to help people grow as followers of Jesus. This group, made up of a combination of laity and staff that represent the various ministries, groups, and worship celebrations of our Church has spent that year earnestly examining our current worship schedule while looking for ways to help us, as a congregation, better live into our mission of creating disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. After the development of over a dozen draft worship schedules and a long process of discernment, prayer, and consideration, a proposal has been drafted and approved by Leadership Council. You can find a report detailing the work of that team and their proposal here. Within that report you will find the proposed worship schedule that Leadership Council and the Worship Task Force hopes we can begin living into this fall starting on August 11.

This month we will be holding a series of listening sessions so that people can learn more about these plans and ask questions so that we can tweak the plan as needed prior to final approval and implementation. The listening sessions are scheduled as follows:

March 13 at 5:15 p.m. in the Klasse Chapel

March 24 at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall

March 28 at 10:00 a.m. in the Klasse Chapel

These listening sessions will be approximately one hour long and include ample time for questions and answers. If you can not make any of those dates you will be able to watch a recorded listening session sometime during the month of March. We believe that we have crafted a worship schedule that allows everyone to grow deeper as a disciple. As we continue to live into our new Discipleship Pathway as a congregation we will keep striving to create opportunities for all people to connect, grow, and serve for the good of the city.
