Patsy June (Houston) Cann, 89, of Pomona, Kansas died Friday, December 12, 2025 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Topeka First United Methodist Church, 600 SW Topeka Blvd, Topeka, KS 66603. Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka First United Methodist Church. 

She was born June 10, 1936 in LeRoy, Kansas the daughter of William and Edna (Bonner) Houston. She graduated from LeRoy High School with the class of 1954. After high school, Patsy attended classes at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and then studied flower arranging at Kaw Valley Technical School. 

On July 27, 1968, Patsy was united in marriage to Larry Edward Cann in Topeka, Kansas. They shared 57 years of loving marriage with one another until Larry’s passing on December 1, 2025. 

Patsy worked in several garden nurseries, as well as in data entry. She also owned and operated an in-home daycare business. Larry and Patsy were faithful members of the Topeka First United Methodist Church. 

Patsy enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, and was known for her green thumb. She took great pride in maintaining the pond and creating an outdoor sanctuary with Larry. Patsy enjoyed crafting in the form of quilting handmade quilts for family and friends and refurbishing old trunks. She was known for making the best pumpkin pie. She loved spending time with her dog, Sweetie, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Edward Cann; her parents, William and Edna Houston; a daughter, Desarae Dawn (Cann) Shibler; a granddaughter, Mia Isabella Robison; and three sisters, Judith Petty, Marcella Trostle, and Billie Rae Gildart.

She is survived by a daughter, Janalee Robison and her husband, Edward Robison, of Eureka Springs, AR; ten grandchildren, Eva Robison, Edward Shibler, Alex Shibler, Daniel Shibler, Anastasia Shibler, Zachary Shibler, Stephany Shibler, Isaac Shibler, John Shibler, and Nicholas Shibler; and a sister, Barbara Lake.
