At Topeka First UMC, we believe in the value of growing together in faith, so we created our 9:15 Growth Hour. This is a time when everyone in our Church can engage in group life for the sake of growing deeper in relationship with God and each other. From Sunday School classes to Life Groups, from in-person to online groups, there is something for you and your family at our Sunday morning Growth Hour!
Children at Growth Hour
Little Sprout Nursery
8:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Our nursery welcomes children 6-weeks through 7 years old. Under the care of our
dedicated and trained nursery staff, the kids play and learn in a safe and
In-person PreK - 5th Grade Classroom
9:15 - 10:15 a.m.
This class is for children 4 years old through 5th grade. Through music, crafts, videos,
and fun activities, we will explore the stories of the Bible and talk about their meaning for our lives!
Online Sunday School Class on Zoom
9:15 - 10:15 a.m.
This class is for children of all ages and their families. You will be able to see and interact with the kids who are at in-person Sunday School as you do the same music, crafts, videos, and fun activities! Click here to join the Zoom meeting!

Youth at Growth Hour
MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP
The Middle School Youth Group is open to anyone in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grades. During the Sunday morning Growth Hour, the group will meet to discuss the sermon, reflect on life, and build an understanding of faith.
HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP
The High school Youth Group is open to anyone in the 9th through 12th grades. Participants reflect on the sermon, explore the challenges and excitements of young adulthood, and support one another as they grow as Disciples of Christ.

Adults at Growth Hour
Boomer aged adults who focus on Bible based studies that are applicable
to current issues and daily living.
Currently meeting by Zoom.
Emphasis is placed on growing in understanding of the Christian faith in
this multi-generational Class. If interested in joining in, please contact Tiwana at the church.
Their studies focus on the building up of an individual’s Christian faith. Their current topic is Romans and they are exploring, Max Lucado's book, Romans -The Grip of Grace.
This class emphasizes the way God works through His people to provide the love and support needed in the world.
They are currently doing a book study called, Unfollow, by Megan Phelps-Roper.
Learners & Servers
This intergenerational group of adults are searching for ways to live out their faith in today’s world. They are currently studying The Bible Project, the Book of Mark.
These believers are interested in making the connection between their life experiences and their Christian faith. They are currently doing Wired Word which shares a fresh stand alone lesson each week focusing on current events with scriptural support.
